A company X in the edutech industry is overhauling its educational platform. The company has experienced a decline in revenue over the past year, and research shows that users are unhappy with the platform's appearance, usability, and loading speed. The company is hoping that the overhaul will improve these areas and attract new users.
BACKGROUND.
This project was made during my 6th semester of university in Indepent Study of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program by Kemendikbud.
On this project, i was chosen to be the group leader to help others and maintain the project to run in one path with same vision.
We were given a case study about X company that want to do big redesign with their education platform.
PROBLEM.
Users are not happy about the interface
The platform is too complicated to use.
The loading is taking so much time.
User is hard to find their motivation
GOALS.
Make a new look to boost user's satisfaction
We want to make the app feel fresh for the user and attract the new coming user.
Remake the app to be less action, faster to user
More action doesn't always mean more useful. Therefore, we want to find a way to make it still useful with less action. Also, by reducing some action can also mean reducing the app to load more data.
Make the user happy again
We want to make user happy while gaining their knowledges when they're using our app.
SOLUTIONS.
Combining blue and white to make it fresh and minimal
By using minimal color, the interface will look more fresh and not confusing.
Make a simple flow to reduce action
Less is more. Human loves simple things, so we want to make a simple education app but useful.
Create a gamification to gain user's motivation
We provide a daily challenge to gain motivation, when they can solve each challenge, they get points that can be used to buy classes on the app.
